Why does my dog bark?

Barking has reasons
Dogs bark to warn, out of fear, boredom, excitement or because they want attention. Only when you know the reason can you change something.
Don't bark along
Loud scolding sounds like barking along to many dogs. Stay calm and redirect him to something else.
Keeping busy helps
A dog who gets enough exercise and brain work often barks less. Sniffing games are ideal for that.
