Paws, claws and coat

Paws in winter
Road salt irritates the pads. Wash the paws with lukewarm water after the walk, paw balm adds extra protection.
Checking claws
If you hear the claws clicking on the floor when he walks, they are often too long. Only cut the tip, or ask your vet to show you.
Brushing
How often you brush depends on the coat. Long hair often daily, short hair less often. More often during moulting in spring and autumn.
Ears and eyes
