Warning signs in dogs
When you must go to the vet straight away.

Emergency: bloat
If your dog has a hard, bloated belly, retches without vomiting and is restless, it can be a twisted stomach. Go to the vet immediately, every minute counts.

Emergency: heatstroke
Heavy panting, staggering or vomiting on hot days are alarm signs. Bring the dog into the shade, cool him with wet, not ice-cold, towels and drive to the vet.

Poisoning
If your dog has eaten something poisonous, don't wait for symptoms. Drive to the vet straight away and take the packaging with you.

Other warning signs
If he hasn't eaten for more than a day, has blood in his faeces or urine, breathing problems, seizures or can't walk properly any more: better call straight away.
In shortIn an emergency don't wait, go right away.
