Which vaccinations your cat needs.
For every cat
Every cat should be vaccinated against feline panleukopenia and cat flu, even indoor-only cats. The germs get into the home on shoes and clothes, for example.
For outdoor cats
Cats that go outside usually also need the rabies vaccination. Leukaemia (FeLV) vaccination depends on the risk. Rabies is required for travel abroad.
The primary course
Kittens get several vaccinations a few weeks apart from about 8 weeks of age. Only then are they well protected.
Boosters on schedule
How often boosters are needed depends on the vaccine and lifestyle. Your vet sets the plan and records everything in the vaccination record.
Keep the record safe
You need the vaccination record for boarding, travel and new vets. A photo of it in the app never hurts.
