What do guinea pigs eat?

Hay always available
Hay is the basis and should always be available. It keeps the constantly growing teeth short and the digestion going.
Vitamin C
Guinea pigs can't make vitamin C themselves. Fresh vegetables and herbs such as pepper, parsley or fennel provide it every day.
Better not
Grain mixes, bread and sweets are unsuitable. Fruit only rarely and in small pieces.
Not eating
Guinea pigs have to eat constantly. If one stops eating, that's a reason for a quick visit to the vet.
