What do tortoises eat?
Meadow plants instead of salad and fruit.
The meadow is best
Dandelion, clover, plantain and other wild herbs are the right food. Ideally they grow right in the enclosure.
Better not
Fruit, bread, meat and lots of supermarket salad are unsuitable and make them ill over time.
Calcium for the shell
A piece of cuttlebone in the enclosure provides calcium for shell and bones.
