On moving day
Put your cat in a quiet room with litter box, water and carrier and hang a sign on the door. Open doors and strangers are the biggest risk of her escaping.

Set up one room with her familiar things first. There she can settle in before exploring the rest of the home.

Don't wash her blankets and cushions right before the move. A familiar smell gives her something to hold on to.
